We’re proud of the quality and craftsmanship behind our jewellery. That’s why we offer a 12-month warranty on all jewellery products – ensuring your peace of mind with every purchase.

What’s Covered?

• Tarnishing: We'll make it right if you notice tarnishing issues within 12 months of purchase.
• ​Chains: Our chains are designed for everyday wear but should be handled with care to avoid damage. If an issue arises during the warranty period, please reach out to us. However, excessive pulling or improper handling is not covered.
• Jump Rings: Jump rings connect chains and pendants and may open slightly over time due to wear or accidental pulling. This can usually be resolved by gently closing them with pliers. If a jump ring breaks within the warranty period, we’ll repair it for you. For delicate chains, we may weld thin jump rings for extra strength. Please note, that welding may cause slight discoloration due to heat, but it doesn’t affect durability.
• Clasps: Our clasps are rigorously tested for durability, but frequent use may cause the spring mechanism to wear over time. This is covered under our 12-month warranty.

What’s Not Covered?

• Material Characteristics: Our gold-plated stainless steel jewellery is highly durable and will not fade within the first 1–2 years under normal use. For gold-plated sterling silver or gold-plated brass, slight fading may occur over time due to the nature of the material. If you notice significant fading within the warranty period, please contact us – we’ll be happy to assist!
• Improper Care: Damage from exposure to harsh chemicals or misuse isn’t covered.
• Unauthorized Alterations: Repairs made by someone other than MXW Jewellery​

Lifetime Support:

​Have an engraved or customized piece? We provide lifetime support for meaningful repairs! You’ll never pay for labour – just the cost of replacement parts. Your satisfaction is our priority.

All engraved items are final sale. As these pieces are custom-made, they cannot be returned or exchanged unless faulty.

Australia Orders

• ✅ We accept returns for both defective and non-defective items (change of mind).
• 📩 Contact us at info@mxwjewellery.com within 7 days of receiving your order.
• 📦 Items must be returned within 30 days, unused and in original packaging.
• 💳 You may choose a refund or replacement.
• 🚚 Return shipping costs: For change of mind returns, the customer pays return postage. For faulty or incorrect items, MXW Jewellery covers return postage.
• 🔄 Return process: To start a return, email us at info@mxwjewellery.com. We’ll guide you through the steps and provide the return address.

New Zealand Orders

• ❌ Change of mind returns are not accepted.
• ✅ If your jewellery arrives faulty, damaged, or incorrect, you are eligible for a refund or replacement.
• 📩 Please email us within 7 days at info@mxwjewellery.com with a clear photo of the issue.

Order Changes & Cancellations

• 🕒 Orders may be cancelled or updated free of charge if they haven’t shipped.
• ⚠️ For engraved items in production, cancellations may not be possible. A rework fee may apply if edits can be made.

Damaged or Incorrect Items

• 🔧 If your order arrives damaged or not as described, we’ll make it right.
• 📩 Email us within 7 days with a photo of the issue at info@mxwjewellery.com.
• 💡 We will repair, replace, or refund at no additional cost.

Refund Timeline

Refunds are processed within 3 business days after we receive and verify the returned item, using your original payment method.

1. 18K Gold-Plated Stainless Steel (PVD Technology)

We use PVD (Physical Vapor Deposition) technology to plate our stainless steel jewellery, which ensures long-lasting durability. These pieces have passed rigorous salt spray testing and are resistant to tarnish and corrosion. Our 18K gold-plated stainless steel is also hypoallergenic, making it comfortable for those with sensitive skin.

Care Instructions:

• While waterproof, limiting exposure to harsh chemicals or saltwater will help prolong the shine.
• Clean with a soft cloth and store in a dry area when not in use.

2. Gold-Plated 925 Sterling Silver 

Our gold-plated silver jewelry features a layer of gold over 925 sterling silver, offering the elegance of gold combined with the strength and flexibility of sterling silver. With a plating significantly thicker than standard gold-plated pieces, our jewelry is crafted to maintain its beauty and durability over time.

Care Instructions:

•  Minimize exposure to moisture and chemicals to maintain the brilliance of both the gold and silver.
•  Gently polish with a jewellery cloth to keep it shining.

3. 14K Gold-Filled Jewellery (1/20 14K Gold-Filled)

Our gold-filled jewellery is made with 1/20 14K gold-filled (14Kgf) material, meaning that 1/20th of the item’s weight is solid 14K gold, providing a thick and durable layer of gold that resists tarnishing much longer than gold-plated items. This makes gold-filled jewellery a high-quality, long-lasting alternative to gold plating.

Care Instructions:

• While durable, it’s best to avoid exposure to harsh chemicals to prevent discolouration.
• Clean with mild soap and water, and dry with a soft cloth.

General Care Tips for All Gold-Plated and Gold-Filled Jewellery:

• Remove your jewellery before swimming, exercising, or bathing to maintain its shine and prevent damage.
• Store pieces in a cool, dry place, ideally in a soft pouch or jewellery box to prevent scratches.
• Avoid contact with lotions, perfumes, or hairsprays, which can accelerate fading or tarnishing.
