Every MXW piece begins with a deliberate material choice. We source with integrity and stand behind every component we use.

Gold Filled

14K Gold Filled

Our 14K gold filled material is sourced from the USA — the global benchmark for gold filled quality and regulation. Gold filled contains a genuine pressure-bonded layer of real 14K gold, approximately 5% of the item's total weight.

This is fundamentally different from gold plating: the gold layer is far thicker, meaning it is significantly more durable for everyday wear.

Sterling Silver

925 Sterling Silver

Our 925 sterling silver is primarily sourced from the USA and carries an anti-tarnish coating for longer-lasting shine. Sterling silver contains 92.5% pure silver — the internationally recognised standard for quality silver jewellery.

Over time silver may naturally oxidise, which is normal and can be restored with gentle cleaning.

PVD Steel

14K Gold PVD Stainless Steel

Our PVD pieces use Physical Vapour Deposition technology — a coating process known for exceptional adhesion and durability. A dense gold-tone coating is bonded directly to the stainless steel base under vacuum conditions.

PVD is the most water-resistant option in our range and is ideal for active everyday wear.

Freshwater Pearls

Our freshwater pearls are sourced from China — the world’s leading producer of cultured freshwater pearls. Each pearl is individually selected for lustre, nacre quality, and surface character.

Natural variation in tone and texture is part of their organic beauty — no two pearls are exactly alike.

Our pieces feature Australian South Sea baroque pearls — organically shaped, naturally lustrous, and completely unique. Baroque shape means no two pieces are ever identical. Each pearl is individually selected for nacre quality and surface lustre before use.

Our PVD stainless steel uses recycled stainless steel as its base material. Gold filled and sterling silver are chosen for their longevity and lasting value.

Longevity over Disposability

Every MXW piece is designed to be worn often and kept for years. We reject the fast-fashion model of jewellery made to be replaced quickly.

Packaging

Our packaging uses recycled and recyclable materials wherever possible. We continue reviewing our packaging choices to reduce waste over time.

Pearl Farming

Cultured pearls are one of the more sustainable luxury materials available, grown in living oysters that naturally interact with and help filter surrounding water.
